项目背景：

这个项目是我多年以前做的一个参赛项目。

当时使用的是Zynq-7020型号的FPGA，内置arm硬核处理器，是由主办方提供的板子。

比赛分为初赛和复赛，项目持续半年，复赛在南京举行，最后我们获得了三等奖。

我们那时候算是第一批使用这个型号的FPGA的小白鼠。如今这个型号已经很流行了。

代码的FPGA部分已经全部放到了GitHub上，并且内含一篇详细的报告。

另外有2个小时的视频讲解，详细讲解设计思路和原理，对于初学者，没有做过IC/FPGA的人来讲应该会是很好的参考。当然了，讲得比较细，甚至有点啰嗦，但是因为这个项目的复杂性够高，会涉及到很多IC/FPGA设计的难题，能看完的绝对可以从这个项目中学会IC/FPGA开发。

代码介绍：

本人负责用FPGA实现里面的GAL算法，因此对于想要学习怎么使用FPGA实现算法的同学，会有帮助。

做项目之前，本人只有一个GAL算法的公式以及input/output数据格式。架构及优化什么的都是自己想出来的。

主要需要解决的问题：

1，算法的流水线怎么做。有些东西计算出来了就固定了，有些东西需要一直计算。对于前者我们希望不要耗费太多资源，因为计算是一次性的。对于后者我们希望速度越快越好，因此需要增加并行度。

2，算法的精度怎么取。每次的加法和乘法都会导致结果变长，比如2bit+2bit的加法需要3bit来存储。3bit*3bit得到的结果就会变成6bit。数据超过一定长度就需要截尾，毕竟硬件资源是有限的，那么保留多少精度就是个问题。另外截尾了之后，数据的base就不一样了，比如本来10bit的数据，是以2^0为base的, 一旦截掉最低位变成9bit，那么数据就是以2^1为base的，截掉最低两位，那么数据就是以2^2为base的。当你计算两个不同base编码的数值，需要将其变成同一base编码，这个过程在浮点运算中也叫做“对阶”。

3，本案例的输入是复数，有实部跟虚部。怎么处理复数也是一个难点。
